Lobster Buoy: Blue and Red
A colorful painting of a hand hewn wooden lobster buoy. These large buoys used to be hung off the side of lobster boats, it's colors corresponded to the boat's buoys in the water, and was a way for the harbor master to make sure a boat didn't steal someone else's catch.
I painted this in a fairly loose style with plenty of spatter and texture to capture the charming imperfections of a hand painted buoy.
