A moose in a little pine forest with falling snow. I really enjoy coming up with little scenes that spark the imagination, of both kids and adults I hope! Fun details in this one include short little pine trees under the moose and a gap in the trees - revealing a hint of water and the far shoreline. A soft Winter color palette with a range of different greens.One of several new illustrations I've done recently for the upcoming holidays. Every year I illustrate a few new Christmas cards, it's always a lot of fun to think up new snowy Winter scenes and the animals that live in them. This is my take on the classic illustrated whale poster. A selection of whales and other small cetaceans drawn in my simplified illustration style. Labeled with common names in handwritten text. Included in this chart are the fin whale, narwhal, killer whale, humpback whale, bottlenose dolphin, bowhead whale, beluga whale, minke whale, blue whale, gray whale, and right whale. Which is your favorite? I especially had fun with the gray whale and its mottled coloring. Just restocked the shop with some fun magnet sets! I have a few different sets that include birds, whales, arctic animals, owls, and puffins! Top image is my coastal birds set (terns, sandpipers, pelicans, and puffins). A set of arctic animals - polar bear, arctic fox, snowy owl, and weasel. I collaborate with iPop to make these magnets featuring my illustrations. We select artwork for various themes - each set contains 4 little round magnets (1 inch) and comes in a handsome clear case.  Arctic whales magnet set, which include belugas, narwhals, an orca, and a whale tail.The magnets are super strong and great for hanging things on the fridge! Another illustration for my dinosaur series. This one is a Triceratops in a rocky landscape scene with a red sun, sparse conifers and a couple flying Pterosaurs in the distant sky.

I'm very excited about these new enamel pins I just had made! This is my first pin design and I'm quite happy with how they turned out. Its a white snowy owl, made from my original drawing. They are now available in the shop here on my website: Snowy Owl Enamel Pin The pins are hard enamel, (the surface is flat and smooth) with black nickel plating for the dark lines. White enamel inlay, with a touch of gray for the beak. A great shiny, polished surface which you can see in the photo above. In my hand for scale, pins are about 1 inch tall.
